Hi, I’m Luke Schumacher

(Aka “The Content Pastor”)

It started with a question after church one afternoon:

“How many churches have a blog?”

Not a lot.

As I did my research I found some church websites that were not good. I was a website consultant for a software company, so I was hypercritical. But as I kept trying to find churches with blogs, the more poor websites I found.

They were clearly DIY (or at least I hoped they were). So I decided to do something about it.

I left my corporate job where I had written content for and designed over 900 websites in 3.5 years. I left my job so I could jump full-time into helping churches, like yours, have a website that you actually like.

Why name it “The Content Pastor”?

I named my business “The Content Pastor” because I wanted to focus mostly on content. Design is important. But people make decisions based on what they read. That’s part of why you’re reading this right now.

I’ve learned the ins and outs of how to get people to take action through both design and content.

I was also tired of hearing about people struggling with WordPress or frustrated with the limits of Wix and Squarespace. You deserve a website that is easy to edit, that is exactly how you want it, without the hassle of difficult website editing tools.

More About Me

Christian | Husband | Dog-dad | Writer | Taco Bell Fan | Star Wars Nerd

My walk with Christ (summary)

I grew up in the United Methodist Church. I decided to go all-in with a relationship with Jesus when I was 15. Over a decade later, I've spent countless hours in Scripture, listening to sermons and journaling about Him. In 2022 I set a goal to transcribe and reflect on the entire Bible. Ask me about it!

My faith now

My wife and I attend a medium-sized Assemblies of God Church in Fort Worth, TX. We actively give, serve, and are involved with a community group. I believe if I'm going to help other churches, I have to participate in my own. I have to be under spiritual leadership and discipleship.

Random things about me

I got married to my beautiful wife, Allison, in 2021. My friends know me for my love of Taco Bell, Legos, and Star Wars. I enjoy lifting weights and playing Xbox with my buddies. I also love my dog Blu (who is about 60lbs larger than the photo).
